As a person performing work in Poland, you have certain rights arising mainly from the Labour Code and the Civil Code. Remember that when working on the basis of an employment contract, you are regarded as an employee and you are entitled to the rights associated with that status. On the other hand, when performing work under a civil contract such as a contract of mandate, you are regarded as a contractor. In this case, you also have rights arising from that status, but they are more limited compared to the rights you have when employed under an employment contract. You may also be entitled to additional rights connected with your status as a foreigner.
