Employment contracts (regulated by the Labor Code)

A work contract is a form of employment in which the individual undertakes to perform specified work under the direction of the employer, at the place and time designated by them, while they hire the individual and provide remuneration. This type of contract establishes a legal relationship between the employee and the employer. An employment contract should be concluded in writing. However, if it has not been drawn up in writing, the employer must, before the commencement of work, provide the employee with written confirmation of the terms of employment. In the case of signing a contract with a foreign national, there is an obligation to conclude the contract in written form and to present its contents to the foreign national in a language that they understand. An employment contract is regulated by the Labor Code and guarantees, among other things, the right to paid annual leave, paid sick leave, and a minimum wage.
