Civil law contracts are agreements concluded under the Civil Code. Civil law contracts are characterized by greater flexibility and freedom in determining the terms of cooperation. They do not create an employment relationship, which means that the provisions of the Labor Code do not apply – the person performing the task is not an employee, and the other party is not an employer. The most common civil law contract used for performing work is the contract of mandate.
